Apple Introduces 2025 iPad Air; Starts From RM2,799

by Kris

Apple has introduced an updated version of the iPad Air, now powered by its M3 chip. The latest iteration retains the 11-inch and 13-inch size options as its predecessor, but with improved performance.

This announcement came as a surprise, as it has been less than a year since the M2 model was introduced. Following Tim Cook’s recent teaser, many had expected the company to unveil a new MacBook Air instead.

While the design remains largely unchanged, the new iPad Air supports Apple Intelligence features and is compatible with the latest Apple accessories, including the Apple Pencil Pro and a redesigned Magic Keyboard. This model still features a fully laminated display with an anti-reflective coating, a 60Hz refresh rate, and Touch ID integrated into the power button. Storage options start at 128GB and colour choices include Space Grey, Starlight Silver, Purple, and Blue. Most other specifications remain consistent with the previous generation.

The new Magic Keyboard is thinner and lighter than its predecessor, featuring a function key row for added convenience. However, unlike the iPad Pro’s version, it lacks backlighting and haptic feedback on the trackpad.

Apple Malaysia says the new iPad Air with M3 will be in the local market “soon”, with pricing starting from RM2,799 for the 11-inch model and RM3,699 for the 13-inch option. Meanwhile, the Magic Keyboard is priced at RM1,299 for the former and RM1,399 for the latter.
