Weibo tipster Digital Chat Station has reported that OnePlus will launch three new phones in China this year. While details for two of the devices are not known, one of them is hinted to be a “flagship killer” device. This model is speculated to be either the Ace 5V or Ace 5S/5S Pro, successor to the brand’s Ace 3V model.
Specs-wise, the phone is rumoured to have a 6.83-inch flat OLED screen, with LTPS technology, 1.5K resolution, and 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it will feature MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9400+ flagship SOC.
The leak adds that the device will pack a battery of 7,000 mAh capacity or more, which is considerably large – even for flagship smartphones. In terms of charging speed, it is speculated that the device might support 80W or 100W.
Meanwhile, its main camera will have a 50MP sensor, and there won’t be a telephoto lens as part of the setup. As for appearance, the mysterious OnePlus phone is said to feature “simple” design. Additionally, it will come with the all-new Magic Cube button, which replaces the brand’s traditional Alert Slider.
No word on when OnePlus aims to announce this newer model, nor the other two phones that’s expected to launch alongside it. It should also be noted that the brand typically rebrands its Ace models outside of China. In this particular device’s case, it might be released as the OnePlus 13T in other regions.
