Lenovo has quietly released a new gaming tablet in Malaysia dubbed the Legion Tab Gen 3. The successor to last year’s model, the updated tablet offers a more powerful processor, an upgraded screen, and improved cooling.
The Legion Tab Gen 3 is fitted with a similar 16:10 8.8-inch LCD display with a 2560×1600 resolution, but it gets a higher refresh rate of 165Hz, up from 144Hz, and a peak brightness of 900 nits. Under the hood, it runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 paired with a whopping 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

Powering the tablet is a 6,550mAh battery with support for 68W charging, along two USB-C ports with support for passthrough charging to keep it from overheating while gaming. Speaking of overheating, the new Legion Tab gets a 14% larger vapour chamber for better cooling.
With the faster chip also comes with improved connectivity with support for Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4. For imaging and video calls, it features a 13MP main camera and a 2MP macro lens on the back, while the front houses an 8MP sensor.

The Lenovo Legion Tab Gen 3 retails at RM2,199, but a representative informed us that the tablet is only available in stores and not on the company’s website. However, there are several local third-party retailers that have listed the tablet up for sale.
