HONOR has announced the launch date for the five devices it teased last week for the Malaysian market. Apart from the Pad X9a that was revealed recently, the remaining products are confirmed to be the Pad V9, MagicBook X14 2025, Watch 5 and Earbuds Open.
All of these are slated to debut on 10 April 2025, though it should be noted that HONOR’s smartwatch and open-ear TWS have already been available since January, while a variant of the Pad X9a will be in stores starting 26 March. Nevertheless, here are quick descriptions of the five upcoming devices.
HONOR Pad X9a
To recap its reveal, the HONOR Pad X9a features an 11.5-inch LCD display with a 2.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate, making it the first in its category with this resolution. It is powered by a Snapdragon 685 chipset, paired with 16GB RAM and 128GB storage, and runs on an 8,300mAh battery supporting 35W fast charging, offering up to 11.5 hours of streaming on iQIYI. The tablet measures 267.3mm x 167.4mm x 6.77mm, weighs 475g, and supports dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.1, though only the WiFi variant is available locally. It has an 8MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera, and runs HONOR MagicOS 9.0 based on Android 15, with a free keyboard and stylus included.
HONOR Pad V9
The HONOR Pad X9a features a 2.5K high-resolution display, designed for immersive entertainment with eye comfort features. Its large battery supports up to 11 hours of video streaming. It also offers a productivity mode with a bundled Bluetooth keyboard and pencil. According to the company, the WiFi version will be available from 26 March 2025, while the LTE version launches on 10 April 2025.
HONOR MagicBook X14 2025
The HONOR MagicBook X14 2025 is a lightweight yet powerful laptop featuring a 14-inch TÜV Rheinland-certified low blue light and flicker-free display. It is claimed to deliver smooth performance for work and studies while maintaining long battery life, making it ideal for users who require productivity on the go.
HONOR Watch 5
The HONOR Watch 5 features a larger 1.85-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 450 x 390 pixels. It has a 480 mAh battery, offering up to 15 days of battery life. The smartwatch includes heart rate, stress, and sleep monitoring, all accessible with a single tap. It has an aluminium alloy body with an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance.
HONOR Earbuds Open
The HONOR Earbuds Open are open-style earbuds with six hours of battery life per charge, extending up to 22 hours with the charging case. They support Bluetooth 5.2 with dual-device connectivity and include noise cancellation. AI-powered translation is also featured, allowing two people to share a single pair of earbuds for real-time translation in supported languages.
HONOR will reveal more details about the Pad V9 and MagicBook X14 at launch, including pricing and availability for these devices and the Pad X9a. Meanwhile, the HONOR Watch 5 and Earbuds Open are already available in Malaysia, priced at RM599 and RM699, respectively.
