HONOR launched its Magic7 Pro flagship phone in Malaysia early this year. Now, the brand has released a new software update that introduces new AI features to the phone via the ‘Magic Portal’. With the update, the AI feature now has integration with the platforms Trip.com, Shopee, and Grab.
HONOR’s Magic Portal allows users to make a circle gesture with their knuckle to access different apps and services. Users simply have to circle with your knuckle any text or image and drag it to the edge on either side of their Magic7 Pro screen to launch the app within the Magic Portal.
This feature can be used in a variety of apps which are integrated into HONOR’s Magic Portal. There, users can check and book for flights and hotels, among others, via Trip.com without having to navigate through multiple steps. When browsing through Shopee, users can use the knuckle circle gesture around an item to drag it to the e-commerce platform within Magic Portal to receive its pricing and other details. Grab users can also circle a restaurant’s name to book a ride to it directly through Grab in the AI feature.
Additionally, there is a new NFC door access function available on the HONOR Magic7 Pro that’s added as part of the update. This enables users to tap their device on the reader at work or home to gain access, without having to carry their respective access cards.
The new apps on the Magic Portal, along with the NFC door access function are currently only accessible on the HONOR Magic7 Pro. According to the brand, they will be rolled out to other devices in the near future.
