OnePlus has announced that the upcoming 13T will be unveiled on 24 April in China. Through a series of posts on Weibo, the company previously revealed the phone’s design, colour variations, and screen size. Now, its processor has been confirmed, and some sample images taken by the device have been shared.
According to OnePlus, the 13T will come equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, which also powers the brand’s previous 13 model. As for the camera, it will house a dual setup consisting of a 50MP primary Sony sensor, and a 50MP telephoto camera with 2x optical, and 4x lossless zoom. The device will apparently have the same imaging algorithm as the flagships from OPPO.
Besides the chipset and camera on the 13T, OnePlus has also confirmed that the phone will have a metal frame, which the brand claims will be both light and durable. It also states that the device will have OPPO’s Crystal Shield on its screen, and an IP65 rating.
Additionally, OnePlus shared that the 13T will pack a 6,260mAh battery, claiming that it will be the “world’s first 6000 Plus mAh small-screen mobile phone”, as per machine translations of its post. The brand also states that the phone will have a “50:50 weight balance”, which somewhat, indirectly confirms a previously leaked video, showing what appears to be the 13T. The phone was being spun around, with the caption suggesting that the phone has a good weight distribution.
