vivo previously promised to launch the V50 Lite in the local market, though at the time the company did not provide an exact date as to when it’s happening. But it has finally happened, with the launch event happening moments ago.
The launch also confirms what we mostly knew beforehand, which includes the 6.77-inch AMOLED Full HD+ 120Hz display, the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 chipset, the 6,500 mAh battery and its 90W wired charging rate. During the launch, the company claims this means the phone’s battery going from empty to full in 52.5 minutes.
On the imaging front, the phone has a 50MP main + 8MP wide-angle combo at the back, with a 32MP camera in front. What’s new today though are the available memory and storage configurations. The vivo V50 Lite comes in 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB variants. The entire package also comes with an IP65 rating. On the software side of things, the phone runs FuntouchOS 15 based on Android 15.
The vivo V50 Lite is priced at RM1,299 for the base 8GB + 256GB model, with the 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 5112GB configurations consting RM1,499 and RM1,699 respectively. Get it by 2 June, and the company will also be throwing in freebies, such as a five-year battery waranty and a 180-day screen protection warranty, as well as a pair of vivo Buds worth RM129.
