Company Behind ONEXPLAYER Teaser ONEXSUGAR Wallet Handheld With Foldable Screen

by Thora.Hansen

One-Notebook, the Chinese company behind the ONEXPLAYER and ONEXFLY gaming handhelds, recently teased a new ONEXSUGAR Wallet console. The gimmick for this console, though, is the use of a foldable display.

The teaser video, which was shared on the Chinese social media platform, Bilibili, shows a console with an elongated and narrower-than-usual design. Again, the video is actually done quite tastefully, almost to the point of being sensual (maybe that was the idea One-Notebook was going for).

Getting back on point, the teaser ultimately shows the ONEXSUGAR Wallet unfolded, while unveiling a console with dual analogue thumbsticks, a D-Pad, the standard four face buttons, triggers and shoulder buttons, but no back buttons.

The teaser video itself provides no details about the ONEXSUGAR Wallet but ITHome says that the gaming handheld’s foldable display measures in at 8.01-inches and has a resolution of 2,480 x 1,860. It also reports that the console will be powered by a “Qualcomm gaming platform flagship processor” (via Google Translate), while the onboard software will allow for some form of “split-screen interaction when folded”. Yes, we’re aware of that last bit, and we’re thinking that it may be something lost in translation.

In any case, that’s about all the information that there is on the ONEXSUGAR Wallet. There’s no pricing or launch date yet, but we’ve definitely seen other ONEX consoles circulating in the Malaysian gaming handheld scene. However, we suspect those may have been brought in as grey imports.
