Not long after introducing its latest smartphone gimbal in Malaysia, DJI has also launched the Neo 2 for the local market. The new model succeeds last year’s compact aerial drone and, naturally, comes with several notable upgrades.
To recap its global launch, the DJI Neo 2 retains the compact form factor but is slightly heavier than its predecessor, coming at 151 g. It features an omnidirectional monocular vision system, a forward-facing LiDAR sensor and a downward infrared sensing module to help it detect and avoid obstacles.
On the imaging front, the drone is equipped with a 1/2-inch CMOS sensor for 12 MP stills and supports 4K video capture at up to 60 fps (with up to 100 fps in certain modes). It also uses a dual-axis gimbal for improved stabilisation, and internal storage has been increased to 49 GB.

Battery capacity has also been boosted to 1,606 mAh, giving a claimed flight time of up to 19 minutes on a single charge. The Neo 2 maintains the same maximum altitude reach of 2,000 m as its predecessor, and tracking speed has been improved to 12 m/s.
In Malaysia, the new DJI Neo 2 is offered in various packages for your consideration. It is priced at RM899 on its own, RM1,209 for the basic Fly More Combo (FMC) with additional accessories, RM1,509 for a more comprehensive FMC bundle, and RM2,229 for the Motion FMC package which comes with DJI Goggles N3 and more. The next-gen compact drone is available now via DJI’s official Shopee and Lazada stores, as well as authorised distributors nationwide.
