The Amazfit Active 2 is finally and officially landing in Malaysia this month. The fitness smartwatch will be available for purchase starting 8 March.
As a quick primer, the Active 2 sports a 1.32-inch 466×466 AMOLED display with a higher peak brightness of 2,000 nits. For protection, it has a 5ATM rating for water resistance as well as tempered glass for the standard version and sapphire glass for the premium version. On the battery side, it can last up to 10 days with regular usage, down from its predecessor’s 14-day estimate, but it seems that for GPS usage, it has actually gone up from 16 hours to 21 hours.
One of the more important updates with the new smartwatch comes with the BioTracker 6.0 PPG biosensor, which picks up more biometric signals for a more precise reading of your health. It also gets a new barometer for altitude measurements and adds support for new sports such as skiing. Overall, the watch can track over 160 activities, along with built-in GPS with offline maps.
