The vivo V50 launched in India in the middle of February, and it looks like the phone will be landing on our shores nearly a full month after. Or more specifically, on 13 March, according to the company’s official Facebook post for the Malaysian market.
Also immediately obvious from the post is the burgundy colour for the background as well as the silhouette of the phone seemingly emerging from a pool of paint. The post itself also reads “The Ancora Red Official Launch”, one of the colour variants that we didn’t see during the initial launch of the vivo V50.
If it wasn’t clear enough from the post, or from my hands on impressions of the phone itself, the brand is clearly promoting this version of the vivo V50 harder than the others. Which is understandable, considering we are seemingly not getting the Starry Night colour variation. There’s nothing much else left to say of the phone, but to reiterate, it packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, 6.77-inch 120Hz display, a 6,000mAh battery with 90W charging, and all of its cameras are 50MP shooters.
The only thing left to know about the vivo V50, really, is what its asking price will be once it becomes available for purchase. But as the company confirmed, we’ll find that out next week.
