Samsung One UI 7 To Roll Out In Malaysia Starting 14 April

by Thora.Hansen

One UI 7 was first made available to those who bought the new Samsung Galaxy S25 series of phones. For those using devices from last year or older, reports from last month made mention of the possibility of a wider rollout for the software update happening beginning April. Now, the company has said that, at least for the Malaysian market, the rollout of One UI 7 will begin starting 14 April.

Slightly more specifically, Samsung says that One UI 7 will first roll out to the Galaxy S24 series, the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Flip7, before “gradually rolling out to more Galaxy smartphones and tablets”. Older models may get their turn later in the timeline, as they usually do, with devices from 2023 being specifically named in the announcement press release.

In case you missed it, the new additions as well as improvements to One UI 7 can more or less be summed up with buffs to Galaxy AI features, as well Google Gemini by extension. Both are getting better contextual awareness, latter also getting some degree of integration with third party apps.

Wrapping up the improvements to AI features somewhat is the Now Brief, which gives you a summary of your day, making use of said improved context awareness. The data used for the feature all remain on-device, and are wiped once they have served their purpose.
