realme is planning to launch its GT 7 in China this month, according to the company’s post on Weibo. Powering the phone is MediaTek’s upcoming Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset, which is reportedly set to be released in China on 11 April.

The realme GT 7 is the successor of last year’s GT 6, and is reported to be lighter and slimmer than its predecessor. Despite this, it is still claimed to pack a 7,000 mAh battery with support for 100W fast charging. Its screen is said to be a flat 1.5K display, and the phone is reported to be lighter and slimmer than its predecessor. Also said to be part of the realme GT 7 kit is an improved thermal management, and an ultra-high frame rate stabilisation.

As for MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 Plus chipset, it is described as an overclocked version of the Dimensity 9400. The chip is said to be modelled based on TSMC’s 3nm semiconductor technology, and scored more than 3 million points in the AnTuTu benchmark results.

Besides the GT 7, the upcoming OPPO Find X8s series and the Vivo X200s will also be housing this same chip. While no specific release date has been confirmed by realme, considering that the GT 6 was released globally last year, there is a chance we could spot the GT 7 in Malaysia within the upcoming months.
