Included in today’s launch of the HONOR Pad X9a, the Pad V9, and the MagicBook X14 2025 was a couple of accessories that, if you remember, were already made available back in 17 January. In case you missed it though, it’s the Watch 5 and the Earbuds Open. But for one of them at least, it’s not entirely a repeat of the previous launch, as a new variant was introduced today.
The HONOR Watch 5 comes equipped with a 480mAh silicon-carbon battery, with the brand claiming it allows up to 15 days of battery life with a single charge. Powered by the brand’s AccuTrack Positioning Technology, the watch is claimed to have a precise GPS tracking, and is also able to check for your vitals, sleep quality and stress levels using its One-Click Health Scan within one minute.
Additionally, the watch is compatible with both iOS and Android devices, has a universal strap adapter, and a rotatable knob. The device comes in two colours, black and gold, and has a new, green leather strap option. While the watches with the silicone straps are available nation-wide, the leather strap options are only available online at the HONOR stores and major e-commerce platforms. Its pricing is set at RM599 for the silicone strap – unchanged from the prior launch, and RM649 for the leather strap variant.
The HONOR Earbuds Open are, as the name implies, an open-ear earphone set, which is also compatible with both Android and iOS devices. It comes equipped with what the brand states is the industry’s first open-ear 3-mic Hybrid Active Noise Cancellation, super bass, and spatial sound. The device is able to provide AI-Live translations, with support to over 15 languages, including English, Chinese, and Malay.
The HONOR Earbuds Open comes in three separate AI translation modes, which is firstly Shared Mode, in which the device can be shared by two people in a conversation. There is also an Exclusive Mode, which provides translations through the earbuds while the brand’s smartphone conveys a response, while Simultaneous Interpretation Mode enables live translation through the earbuds. The device comes in Polar Gold and Polar Black colour variations and is available nation-wide at RM699.
