HONOR revealed through a series of posts on Weibo that it will be launching its new Power smartphone during an event in China on 15 April. While the upcoming phone’s specs were not detailed, known leakster Digital Chat Station claims to know what chipset and battery it will pack.
In their post, the leakster claims that the HONOR Power phone will come with something that’s designated SM7750, which refers to the part number of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC. In the same post, they also state that the phone will pack a large 8,000mAh battery capacity with 80W charging.
Additionally, along with the rumours of its large battery, the phone might have a slim design. According to a machine translation of HONOR’s post on Weibo, the brand refers to the Power phone as being both thin and light, and will apparently feature a size that is unprecedented in the industry.
With the rumours of the specs being unconfirmed by HONOR itself, it is best to take it with a large grain of salt. It is also unclear as of now if the company plans on making the upcoming phone available in markets outside of China.
