The new generation facelifted Porsche 911 Carrera and Carrera 4 GTS have been launched in Malaysia, marking Porsche Malaysia’s 15th Anniversary. Both models will be showcased for public viewing from 11 to 13 April at Central Exchange, The Exchange TRX Mall.
As expected with Porsche, these models come with premium pricing. The 911 Carrera starts from RM1,430,000, while the 911 Carrera 4 GTS is priced from RM1,890,000.

The 911 Carrera 4 GTS debuts Porsche’s cutting-edge T-Hybrid system, inspired by motorsport. At its core is a newly developed electric exhaust gas turbocharger with an integrated electric motor placed between the compressor and turbine, instantly generating boost pressure.
This motor also functions as a generator, recovering up to 11 kW of energy from exhaust gases. Replacing the twin-turbo setup, the single, wastegate-free turbo ensures sharper response.

A second electric motor is integrated into the upgraded eight-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission, offering up to 150 Nm of torque and a 40 kW boost, even at idle. Both motors are powered by a compact 1.9 kWh high-voltage battery (400 V), similar in size to a standard 12V battery. A lightweight lithium-ion battery supports the 12V electrical system.
The new 3.6-litre boxer engine, with VarioCam and rocker-arm valve control, features an increased bore and stroke, raising displacement by 0.6 litres. It delivers 357 kW (485 PS) and 570 Nm of torque on its own, while the full hybrid system produces 398 kW (541 PS) and 610 Nm—an increase of 61 PS over its predecessor.

The 911 Carrera features a revised 3.0-litre twin-turbo boxer engine. It now benefits from an intercooler derived from the Turbo models and turbochargers previously reserved for GTS variants. As a result, it delivers 290 kW (394 PS) and 450 Nm of torque, sprinting from 0–100 km/h in 4.1 seconds, with a top speed of 294 km/h.
Porsche has also refined the 911’s exterior to enhance both aerodynamics and performance. Model-specific bumpers and integrated matrix LED headlights create space for larger front cooling vents.

On the Carrera 4 GTS, active front air flaps and adaptive underbody diffusers manage airflow depending on driving conditions. Sensors are now neatly hidden beneath a high-gloss surface below the number plate. Optional HD matrix LED headlights with over 32,000 light points offer advanced features, including pixel-precise high beams.
At the rear, a redesigned light strip with integrated arc and the ‘Porsche’ logo creates a wider, lower stance. A new rear grille blends into the rear window and meets a retractable spoiler.

The number plate has been repositioned higher, with model-specific exhaust systems seamlessly integrated into the bold diffuser. A sports exhaust is standard on GTS models and optional on the Carrera.
Inside, the Porsche Driver Experience focuses on intuitive, driver-oriented control. Key functions—like the drive mode switch, assistance lever, and the newly added start button—are positioned around the steering wheel. The centre console now includes a cooled compartment with wireless charging for smartphones.

The 911 features a fully digital 12.6-inch curved instrument cluster, offering up to seven configurable views, including a classic Porsche layout with a central tachometer. The 10.9-inch central touchscreen houses the upgraded Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system, which now offers more personalized driving mode and assistance system controls.
Connectivity is enhanced with deeper Apple CarPlay integration, now capable of displaying content in the instrument cluster and operating car functions via Siri . Native apps like Spotify and Apple Music are supported, and video streaming is now optionally available when parked.

The 911 Carrera is offered as a rear-wheel-drive Coupé, while the Carrera 4 GTS comes as a Coupé with all-wheel drive—both equipped with Porsche’s eight-speed PDK transmission as standard.
