The Cooler Master Shark X is a special casing designed and built by the Taiwanese brand known for its cooling solutions, and one of the very first units was sent to and assembled by local gaming PC builder, EMARQUE. Putting some obvious points down, the entire chassis is built to look like a shark – hence the name – but above all else, it’s purposefully designed to capture the attention of anyone who views it.
We found out a little bit more about the Cooler Master Shark X from Kiri Kaniathran, CEO and founder of EMARQUE. Firstly, the special casing is made to order; Cooler Master doesn’t have readily available units lying around and it only fires up the furnace whenever an order for the casing is placed. Second, and as you may have guessed, it doesn’t come cheap. Fresh out of the factory, the casing retails for an eye-watering RM33,198, and that’s excluding the components that are installed inside this beast.
Those components, by the way, include an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, an Asus Prime GeForce RTX 5080, an ASUS ROG Strix Z890-I Gaming Wi-Fi, 64GB of DDR5-6400 RAM, two WD Black SN850NX 2TB SSDs, a Cooler Master Masterliquid Atmos AIO Cooler, and a Corsair SF1000L 1000W PSU. Those components, plus the 57-inch Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 GN95NC, brings the total bill for EMARQUE to RM42,000.
As a PC builder who has assembled many systems throughout the years, this writer did ask Kiri about the cable management of the Shark X, to which he simply told us “cable management is a b***h lol” and that he had to use several extenders. And while we ourselves did not build the PC, we actually share his pain, especially when you consider just how little headroom this chassis could possibly have.
