HONOR previously teased the upcoming 400 Lite which it touted as part of an “affordable iPhone killer” series, as many a Chinese brand are prone to claim. At the time, the company did not share details of when the phone will be launching in the local market, but that has since changed. In a press release, the company now says that the phone will be coming to Malaysia on 25 April 2025.
That being said, the brand has not shared any new information on what to expect from the HONOR 400 Lite. Well nothing on the spec sheet anyway, as we get the proclamation that it will be getting Google Lens and Gemini, which kind of goes without saying with just about any Android device these days.
For that, we go back to the phone’s European launch, which saw the HONOR 400 Lite getting unveiled with a 6.7-inch 1080p AMOLED screen on the outside. Inside, it packs a MediaTek Dimensity 7025 Ultra chipset and a 5,230 mAh battery with support for 35W charging, and on the software side of things, it run MagicOS 9 based on Android 15. Imaging is handled by a 108MP main + 5MP wide angle + depth sensor combo at the back, plus a 16MP front-facing shooter. Wrapping it all up is an IP65 rating.
While the brand is naturally waiting for the the aforementioned date to reveal the price of the HONOR 400 Lite, some retailers have already let the cat out of the bag. Or, they have for one configuration, which is the 12GB + 256GB combo, costing RM1,299. The launch proper will the when, or indeed if, the company shows off more configurations, and confirm or disprove figures that are already making the rounds.
