The Malaysian arm of vivo has announced two variants of the V50 Lite, one with 4G connectivity, and another with 5G. More recently, the company announced that the phone will be making its way to the Malaysian market. Specifically, it’s likely to be the 5G model that is about to be available.
Both versions of the vivo V50 Lite comes with a 6.6.7-inch Full HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 6,500 mAh battery with 90W charging. Considering we’re likely to be getting the 5G model, we’ll be looking at the one with a MediaTek Dimensity 6300, as well as a 50MP main + 8MP wide-angle camera combo at the back, with the 32MP shooter in front.
That being said, the two variants of the vivo V50 Lite have a lot in common anyway, with the only difference on the 4G model is that it has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 685 instead of the Dimensity chipset. The camera is a notable change that wouldn’t be visible from the outside, as the wide-angle camera is replaced with a depth sensor.
To be fair, there’s not really anything stopping the company from launching both variants in the country. But if there can only be one, chances are it will be the vivo V50 Lite 5G, as that’s the specific model being identified within our SIRIM database. But with all that being said, the most important details, such as when it will actually be available, and at what price, remains under wraps.
