We first saw Ghost of Yotei, the sequel to Ghost of Tsushima, revealed last September’s State of Play. At the time, Neither Sony nor Sucker Punch Productions revealed when the game will actually be available. Now, via the official PlayStation Blog, we know that the game is releasing on 2 October. And with it, a new trailer showing more of what to expect from the game.
From said trailer though, it looks like there will be some familiar story beats from the first game, including flashbacks to the playable character’s childhood. There’s also another look at the other weapons that Atsu has at her disposal, from the spear to the kusarigama. Despite being a lot further up north than Tsushima, the depiction of Ezo (known as Hokkaido today) in Ghost of Yotei has a similar range rich colours and varying terrain.

But going back to the game’s availability, the standard edition of Ghost of Yotei is priced at RM299 for the PS5, with the digital deluxe edition costing RM339 instead. The latter gets you a number of in-game bonuses like The Snake’s armour set, an alternate colour for your starting armour, a unique horse and saddle colour, as well as an early unlock of Traveller’s Maps for earlier skill progression.
There is also a Ghost of Yotei Collector’s Edition, which comes with a replica display edition of Atsu’s mask, a replica of her sash, and a replica of her sword’s guard, featuring twin wolves. There’s no price for this yet for the Southeast Asia market, with the company saying that the price “will be announced on later date [sic]”.

With all that in mind, you also cannot pre-order Ghost of Yotei just yet. PlayStation says that pre-orders only start on 2 May, though you can wishlist it first to be notified immediately when the option becomes available.
