AirAsia MOVE has introduced “Easy Cancel“, a new feature that allows users to receive a full refund when cancelling their trip bookings. Through this, customers can cancel their flights up to 48 hours before the departure time for any reason and receive their money through the original payment method. The refund covers not only the flight itself, but also add-ons such as baggage, meals and other fees.
To use the feature, the customer must opt-in when booking their flights via the AirAsia MOVE app. After selecting any desired add-ons for the trip, include Easy Cancel as part of the booking and then select either 80% or 100% coverage. Do note that AirAsia MOVE will charge a fee for the feature, which is not refundable. To cancel the booking and receive the refund, the customer can do so by navigating to the My Bookings section of the app and verify their identity to confirm the cancellation.
Also bear in mind that Easy Cancel is only offered during the booking process and cannot be added to an existing booking. Additionally, using the feature will automatically cancel all the flights, which means those who book multiple flights in a single booking are not allowed to cancel parts of it.
Easy Cancel is currently available exclusively on the AirAsia MOVE app and covers most AirAsia flight routes, with the exception of flights to South Korea and domestic routes in Indonesia. This feature is also expected to be rolled out for flights from AirAsia’s other airline partners in 2026.
