by Kris

Communications Minister Datuk Fahmi Fadzil confirmed today that the 300-litre quota for recipients of the Budi Madani RON95 (BUDI95) subsidy is renewed on the first day of every month. In essence, those who utilised it yesterday on 30 September 2025 will now see their quotas reset back to 300 litres today on 1 October.

“Today is Oct 1, so the total quota is returned to 300 litres,” Fahmi said at a press conference after the Cabinet meeting earlier. He noted that the Communications Ministry, the Finance Ministry and petrol station operating companies would issue statements if there was any incorrect information or confusion about the subsidy programme from time to time.

The Comms Minister also revealed that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has directed the Transport Ministry to look into several matters related to BUDI95 during the meeting. These include an increase in quotas for e-hailing, p-hailing, taxi, and fishing boat drivers.

As for drivers or Malaysians who have a Singapore driving licence, Fahmi said there will be a specific mechanism to help them get BUDI95 subsidy assistance. The Finance Ministry is expected to issue a statement on the latest status of the implementation of the scheme this evening, he added.
