Like many other companies, HONOR is looking to unveil its newest flagship phones soon. In a teaser posted on Weibo, the brand confirmed that it will be launching the Magic8 series in China on 15 October 2025. The lineup will include a base model, as well as a Pro variant.
Prior to this announcement, HONOR had showcased the Magic8 at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Summit last month, revealing its design. The device largely resembles its predecessor, but with one notable addition: a dedicated AI button on its side. For now, the exact functions of this button are uncertain.

The company has also confirmed that it will be launching MagicOS 10 with the Magic8 lineup. This new operating system is based on Android 16 and will include more AI features. This includes upgrades to its YOYO assistant, allowing it to automatically handle certain tasks on the user’s behalf.
Beyond that, the Magic8 and its Pro sibling are expected to pack the new Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. Moreover, previous reports indicate that the base model will feature 12GB of RAM and a 7,000mAh battery. Meanwhile, the Pro version could get a bigger battery with wireless charging. On the imaging side, rumours point to a triple camera setup comprising a 50MP main shooter, a 50MP wide-angle sensor, and a 200MP periscope telephoto lens.
Of course, these rumours should be taken with a grain of salt, given that they did not originate from an official source. That said, we should hear from the horse’s mouth pretty soon, with the launch just around the corner. It is worth noting that HONOR has yet to disclose details on a global release of the Magic8 lineup.
