Samsung Reportedly Delays Mass Production Of Galaxy S26 Series

by Thora.Hansen

The development of the Samsung Galaxy S26 series has been nothing short of turbulent, if the recent rumours are to be believed. Following whispers of last-minute changes to the lineup, the flagship phones may end up missing the company’s usual January launch window.

According to Korean outlet The Elec, Samsung has decided to push back mass production of some of the models in the series. While the Galaxy S26 Ultra will enter mass production this December as planned, the company will only begin producing the other variants in January. This includes the Plus model, and the vanilla S26. Yes, it seems the brand has dropped the “Pro” moniker for the base version too.

As to why Samsung has delayed production of the phones, the report claimed that the removal of the S26 Edge is to blame. Of course, the company also has to develop the Plus model, which it is apparently bringing back due to the poor reception of the Edge variant. Naturally, development on this phone will take some time, which is why Samsung may need another month or so. The report noted that the company has finished developing both the regular S26 and the S26 Ultra.
