Nissan N6 PHEV Debuts In China

by Kris

The Dongfeng-Nissan N6 has officially made its debut in China, and is currently available for pre-booking. Serving as the brand’s first plug-in hybrid (PHEV) sedan developed under Dongfeng Nissan’s new energy technology architecture, the N6 shares its technological foundation with the popular all-electric N7 sedan.

Not only does the N6 share its platform with the N7, but it also adopts several design cues from its all-electric sibling. These include a closed-off front fascia, full-width lighting signatures, hidden door handles, and a streamlined fastback rear. The headlights are uniquely styled to resemble inverted sevens, reinforcing the visual link between the two models. Buyers can also choose between 17-inch or 18-inch wheels.

Inside the PHEV model comes with a clean and minimalistic design featuring a dual tone cabin. It has a floating central infotainment system and an instrument cluster. It also comes with a multi-function steering wheel with flat bottom, a panoramic roof and wireless charging.

In terms of performance, the Nissan N6 is equipped with a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated engine that produces 75 kW, paired with an electric motor delivering 155 kW. The motor draws power from a 21.1 kWh battery pack, offering a claimed pure-electric CLTC range of up to 180 km. In this configuration, the engine functions mainly as a generator, while the vehicle is driven solely by the electric motor.
