Xiaomi has just officially released a new smartphone under its Redmi sub-brand, the Turbo 4 Pro. Its predecessor, the Turbo 4, was just launched earlier this year. This new device marks itself as the first smartphone to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset.
Starting off with the basics, the Turbo 4 Pro has a 6.83-inch OLED 2,772 x 1,280 screen, with a 120Hz refresh rate, with an optical fingerprint scanner. The Redmi phone packs a large 7,550mAh battery, with support for up to 90W charging. It also supports reverse wired charging of up to 22.5W.
As for its rear cameras, the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro has a 50MP Sony LYT600 primary camera with OIS, and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera. Its selfie camera is a 20MP shooter. The phone has an IP68 rating, and is available in three colours which are black, white, and green, with a special Harry Potter edition.
The Turbo 4 Pro is offered in five different configurations: 12GB + 256GB, 12GB + 512GB, 16GB + 256GB, 16GB + 512GB, and 16GB + 1TB. Its pricing in China starts at RMB1,999 (~RM1,199). While Xiaomi has not confirmed if the phone will be released globally, there have been rumours that it might be rebranded as the upcoming POCO F7.
