2025 is starting to look like the year of gaming handheld, with companies like ONE-NETBOOK ramping it up with the official unveiling of the ONEXSUGAR. And what appears to set this handheld apart from the crowd is literally its transformative and dualistic nature.
What we mean by that is the ONEXSUGAR’s selling point is that it is, by technicality, a gaming handheld that is able to transform from having one display to unfolding and having two, albeit asymmetrical displays, at once. Note that we didn’t say the first dualscreen display because that championship belt belongs to the Nintendo DS which launched back in 2024.

Elaborating further, the displays of the ONEXSUGAR aren’t the same size; the main display, which is depicted and illustrated as being at the top of the build, measures at 6.01-inches, while the secondary display is a smaller 3.92-inch display. Specs-wise, the gaming handheld is powered by a Snapdragon G3 Gen 3 SoC but the brand’s marketing fluff doesn’t appear to include any further detail, such as RAM and storage details.
The controller of the ONEXSUGAR itself is transformative, in that it can flip up or down. When fully “extended”, it uses the asymmetrical layout of the Xbox controller. Oh, and it does make mention of Wi-Fi 7 connectivity on its Indiegogo page but no mention of the Bluetooth version.
Considering how ONE-NETBOOK is still crowdsourcing for moolah, it’s looking like we won’t be seeing the ONEXSUGAR anytime in the immediate future.
