There have been many rumours about a foldable iPhone, including inconsistencies with its form factor. For better or worse, a new one is being added to the list – if it ends up being a book-style foldable, it will also come with an under-display camera.
The claim comes from frequent leakster Digital Chat Station on Chinese social media Weibo. In the post, said leakster also provided screen sizes and their respective resolutions. The inside screen is claimed to measure about 7.76 inches with a 2,713 x 1,920 resolution, while the one outside would be about 5.49 inches and a 2,088 x 1,422 resolution.

It’s an interesting choice for an iPhone inclusion, to be sure. Apple has, for better or worse, rarely adopted tech used in Android devices until it is sure it has ironed out most of its kinks. The hopeful outcome would be that the bitten fruit company has found a way to buck the trend of under-display cameras being capable of producing shots of usable quality.
Either way though, the claim should be taken with the usual healthy dose of salt. And don’t hold your breath for it either, as the most optimistic forecast for a foldable iPhone launch is still in the year 2026.
