Jetour unveiled two new models at Auto Shanghai 2025 — the G700 and G900, a pair of high-performance off-road SUVs. These models are also the first two models to debut the automaker’s Gimbal Off-Road Chassis (GAIA) platform.
GAIA underpins the SUV’s serious off-road chops, with adjustable suspension (up to 150mm travel), 350mm ground clearance, tank turn, and crab-walk mode. It also integrates features like low-orbit satellite communication, onboard oxygen generation, and AI-assisted terrain navigation.

This setup uses the world’s first dual-speed hybrid DHT transmission and runs on an 800-volt electrical architecture. Charging from 20% to 80% reportedly takes just 10. It also offers a pure EV range of around 150 km, and total range figures are said to reach between 1,400 and 1,500 km.
The G700, according to Jetour, is also built to go where few others dare — think deserts, rivers, steep inclines, and tight trails. It has 900 mm of wading depth and features like rear-wheel steering, crab mode, and active suspension.

Inside, the G700 comes in a 2+2+2 six-seat layout, featuring reclining third-row seats, tray tables footrests, a Lexicon audio system, and a huge infotainment screen. The model is currently in pre-production and was customised for the show, but prices are expected to start around CNY400,000 (~RM240,000), going up to CNY1.5 million (~RM900,000).
As for the Jetour G900, it features the iEM-O Amphibious System, a tech-heavy platform that reportedly enables the G900 to handle both land and aquatic environments. It also comes with a vector quad-motor drivetrain, marine-grade navigation, and thrust capabilities of up to 2,500 Newton.

Other features that comes in the G900 includes the smart cockpit, seamless digital connectivity, and an oxygen-enriched cabin for high-altitude or sealed environments. Both the G700 and G900 are built on Jetour’s new GAIA Intelligent Off-Road Architecture, a modular platform designed to handle next-gen hybrid and electric powertrains.
In terms of design, from the picture, one can say that the Jetour G900 has a luxury SUV look with more sleeker lines compared to the G700. As for other information about the G900, it has yet to be revealed by the automaker.

The G700 is confirmed to go on sale in China later this year, and with Jetour already having a footprint in Malaysia, local availability could very well be on the cards. No official word yet, but with Jetour having plans to bring PHEVs in, there is a possibility to see the G700 or G900 land on Malaysian soil sooner than expected.
