The national carmaker, Perodua, today launched its very own super app called P-Circle, which is available now for download via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. According to Perodua President and Chief Executive Officer, Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad, most of the software involved in creating the application was developed by local talents and startup companies.
Furthermore, the P-Circle application is not exclusively for Perodua customers but is open to all Malaysians, regardless of the vehicle brand they use. As of now, the P-Circle comes with nine features, with some notable ones being P-Duit, P-Charge, P-Marketplace, and P-Map.
The P-Duit is an e-wallet designed to make payments easier for nearly all transactions in Malaysia. “This feature will be useful for those looking to own our first EV (electric vehicle), as we have made an agreement with all charging point operators to accept payments from our e-wallet,” Dato’ Sri Zainal added.
The P-Map, on the other hand, is a navigation feature that includes all Malaysian roads. Additionally, this map feature is expected to expand to include maps of Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia. Meanwhile, P-Charge allows users to locate the nearest charging station to them.
The P-Marketplace, on the other hand, offers added advantages for Perodua customers as it features a comprehensive range of genuine Perodua spare parts and accessories. In Phase 1, the Perodua Spare Parts Department will be the sole seller, underscoring the brand’s commitment to providing customers with an official platform to purchase authentic parts directly from it, in addition to its existing outlets.
In Phase 2, the platform will expand to include other sellers, such as TM Unifi and small businesses across Malaysia. All participating merchants will undergo a proper onboarding process and credit verification to ensure authenticity and reliability. Another feature integrated into the P-Circle app is P-Entertainment, an OTT platform offering local movies and series.
Additionally, five more features will soon be added to the P-Circle application. These include P-Vehicle, P-Guardian, P-Charge Mobile, P-ACHome, and UFirst. Last but not least, there is also a countdown for the launch of the brand’s upcoming first-ever EV.
As of now, these features in the P-Circle are free of charge. However, Perodua states that there will be a subscription fee to access them in the future, but did not provide any specifics.
