Porsche Unveils New All-Electric Macan GTS

by Kris

Porsche is extending its Macan lineup with the introduction of the Macan GTS, making it the first all-electric (EV) model to be graced with the GTS badge. It comes fitted with a range of enhancements, making it even more engaging and driver-focused.

On the outside, the EV closely resembles the standard Macan, but there are some distinct features to set it apart. To start, there are the tinted Matrix LED headlights and pronounced outer contours above the air blades, giving it a sportier stance. The redesigned front and rear aprons further enhance its presence and, according to the automaker, will be introduced to other Macan models starting in 2026.

Additional details include redesigned side skirts, tinted taillights, a black-trimmed lower rear section, and 21-inch Macan Design alloy wheels finished in Anthracite Grey as standard. Buyers can also opt for 22-inch RS Spyder Design wheels for a more dynamic look. In conjunction with the GTS launch, Porsche has added three new exterior colours: Crayon, Carmine Red, and Lugano Blue.

Inside, the Macan GTS features sport seats upholstered in a combination of Race-Tex and smooth black leather. The Race-Tex material also extends to the heated multifunction GT Sport steering wheel, centre console armrests, door panels, and dashboard. The instrument cluster features a 3D visualisation of the Macan GTS, while the cabin is equipped with a dual-screen infotainment setup, one of which is a dedicated passenger display.

The interior also comes in Carmine Red, Slate Grey Neo or Lugano Blue to match the exterior. There is also the Carbon Interior Package, adding carbon-fibre trim to the steering wheel, dashboard and door panels.

Regarding performance, the Macan GTS features a dual-motor setup, with one motor on each axle, producing a maximum output of 420kW and 955Nm of torque. All of this power is handled by a transmission featured in the Macan Turbo. It is powered by a 100kWh battery offering a WLTP range of up to 586km and can be replenished from 10% to 80% in just 21 minutes using a 270kW DC charger.

Other performance aspects include the rear-biased 48:52 weight distribution, low centre of gravity, and advanced power management. It comes standard with all-wheel drive, Porsche Traction Management (ePTM), and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) for improved traction and agility. The sports air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) has been specially tuned, sitting 10mm lower than other models to enhance handling, while optional rear-axle steering further sharpens cornering performance.

The Sport Chrono Package comes standard and includes the Track mode from the Taycan, designed for high-performance driving. This mode boosts battery cooling to prevent power loss from heat build-up, ensuring the Macan GTS delivers consistent, sustained performance even under heavy load.

There is also the Porsche Electric Sport Sound (PESS) that gives the EV two sound profiles, according to the automaker. Other features include the Porsche Digital Key, new parking assistance functions, AI-supported Voice Pilot, an expanded offering for in-car gaming, and an increased maximum towing capacity of 2.5 tonnes.

And that’s all the details currently available about the Macan GTS. At the time of writing, there is no word on a local debut, though the likelihood of that happening is high, given the Macan’s popularity in Malaysia.
