Mark Gurman of Bloomberg previously claimed that the M4 MacBook Air models will be unveiled within the month of March. In the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Gurman claims that it can happen as soon as this week.
The exact phrase in the newsletter was that “Apple is preparing to make a Mac-related announcement as early as this coming week”. This lines up with prior reporting about the upcoming M4 MacBook Air, which follows the Pro versions of the laptops unveiled back in October.
Beyond the M4 MacBook Air’s launch window, Gurman also notes that new iPads, specifically the iPad Air 7 and iPad 11, will be launching soon after. Gurman makes the claim based on the winding down of the devices’ stock in retail outlets, which is noted as a sign “that a launch is getting closer”. No launch window was provided for the tablets beyond it not happening “in the next few days”.
It’s also pretty up in the air as to what these upcoming tablets will be equipped with. Insiders appear to be split between the M3 and M4 chip for the upcoming iPad Air 7, as well as the A16 or A17 Pro for the base model 11th gen iPad.
