The Xiaomi Watch S4 and Smart Band 9 were launched in the brand’s home market back in October last year. Now that the company has had the global launch for its most recent phones, the smartwatches too are being made available to the wider world.
For the most part, both wearables have not seen any spec sheet changes as it left the borders of its own home. This means the Xiaomi Watch S4 still has the 1.43-inch 466 x 466 AMOLED display, with a 60Hz refresh rate. The company also shared that, at full charge, it can last up to 15 days, and a 5-minute charge can give it up to two days of use.
It’s mostly the same deal with the Xiaomi Smart Band 9 Pro as well, with the press release accompanying the global launch noting the 336 x 480 AMOLED screen and a 1,200 nits peak brightness. Also noted is the 350mAh battery that provides 21 days of operation.
Of course, being fitness tracker wearables, both come with a rich suite of sensors to provide functions like heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring, as well as automatic tracking for a wide range of sports activities. That being said, only the Xiaomi Watch S4 is noted to get Smart Hub integration, allowing it to be an extension of your smart home setup, or simply a control centre for accessories connected to your phone.
Locally, the Xiaomi Watch S4 is priced at RM699, with a special Rainbow Colour variant costing RM50 more. As for the Smart Band 9 Pro, this has an asking price of RM399. Get them before 6 April, and both Watch variants will go for RM599 instead, with the Smarty Band 9 costing RM299. They are all available via official retailers, the brand’s own online store, or its official stores on Lazada and Shopee.
