Modder Fix Stuttering Issue In MH Wilds

by Thora.Hansen

Monster Hunter (MH) Wilds players who got the game on PC have experienced no end of optimisation issues, from random frame drops and stuttering problems to the game just outright crashing. The stutters, in particular, are seemingly caused by the anti-tamper tech in-game.

Knowing this, the modder Praydog, who is known for creating some really interesting VRMods, recently released a new version of the REFramework for MH Wilds. Praydog is the one who initially claimed that the in-game stutters were the byproduct of Capcom’s anti-tamper technology, and proved it with a screenshot.

MH Wilds isn’t the only Capcom title to suffer from the dreaded stuttering. The PC version of Resident Evil Village also suffered from it.

If you find the stuttering unbearable, you can download Praydog’s mod from the following link. To install it, simply extract the dinput8.dll from the zip file and place it into your MH Wilds game install folder. Ironically, it’s funny that a game modder is able to fix the issue before Capcom’s own devs managed to.

In any case, it’s only a matter of time before Capcom comes up with a patch that fixes the stuttering outright, especially since a respected modder has beaten the game company to the punch.
