The iPhone 17 Air is expected to be released later this year, with new unofficial details claiming it to be substantially thin. This comes from a leakster Ice Universe on X, who also reports that the rest of the phone’s dimensions will be similar to the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Both models are said to have similar proportions, measuring in at 163 mm in height x 77.6 mm in width. What sets the Pro Max model apart from the Air is its thickness of roughly 8.72mm, whereas the latter allegedly measures at only 5.5mm – not counting the camera bump on its back.

Rumours are also alleging that the Air, as well as the iPhone 17 Pro Max, will sport the same 6.9-inch LTPO Super Retina display with the same bezel thickness. While the camera details were not specified, it is expected that the former will only come with a single camera in a Pixel-like visor styled bump on its back. Additionally, the Air model is expected to house an Apple-designed Wi-Fi 7 chip.

The iPhone 17 Air, if the unofficial information is to be believed, is expected to replace the Plus variant. This places it in a peculiar position, as it lacks the dual-camera setup of the non-Pro model and features a completely different design. However, such leaks may prove inaccurate, so they should be taken with some scepticism.
