OPPO unveiled the latest additions to its flagship Find X8 lineup for 2025 in China yesterday evening, led by the new Ultra model. Alongside it, also introduced are the Find X8s and Find X8s+, two models targeting users who prefer a more compact device without sacrificing performance.
Oppo Find X8 Ultra
The Find X8 Ultra refines the formula of its predecessor with several significant upgrades. At 8.78mm thick, it is claimed to be the thinnest flagship cameraphone. Despite the slimmer profile, durability has improved with an IP68/IP69 rating and SGS five-star drop resistance.
The display remains a 6.82-inch 10-bit LTPO OLED panel with a 1–120Hz adaptive refresh rate, 3168 × 1440px resolution, and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits. Physically, the Find X8 Ultra introduces two new buttons: a customisable Shortcut button on the upper left and a Quick button near the bottom right, the latter primarily for camera functions. Colour options include Matte Black, Pure White and Shell Pink, each featuring matte-finished metal rails and glass panels.

Powering the phone is the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, combined with up to 16GB LPDDR5X-9600 RAM and up to 1TB UFS 4.1 storage, running ColorOS 15 based on Android 15. Battery life receives a notable bump with a new 6,100mAh silicon-carbon cell, offering a near 20% capacity increase while maintaining 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, plus 10W reverse wireless support.
The Ultra model retains the 50MP 1-inch Sony LYT900 main sensor and 50MP ultrawide, while the two periscope zoom cameras see major improvements. The 3x 50MP telephoto uses a brighter f/2.1 70mm lens, while the 6x 50MP telephoto moves to a brighter f/3.1 135mm lens. In front, housed within the punch-hole cutout on the display is a 32MP selfie camera.

Additionally, the phone’s imaging system utilises OPP’s new True Chroma camera system, tuned with Hasselblad, and enhanced by the next-gen HyperTone Image Engine. These aim to deliver accurate colour reproduction and improved performance in difficult lighting.
Oppo Find X8s & Oppo Find X8s+

The Oppo Find X8s and Find X8s+ bring compact yet powerful options to the brand’s latest lineup. The Find X8s features a 6.3-inch FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, while the slightly larger Find X8s+ offers a 6.59-inch panel with the same resolution and refresh rate.
Both phones offer IP68/IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, run ColorOS 15 based on Android 15, and support Oppo’s Mag Magnetic Ecosystem, which enables magnetic accessories like attachable battery packs via a proprietary case. The Find X8s is available in Hoshino Black, Moonlight White, Island Blue, and Cherry Blossom Pink, while the Find X8s+ comes in Hoshino Black, Moonlight White, and Hyacinth Purple.
The duo are powered by the Dimensity 9400+ chipset, boasting an overclocked prime core at 3.73GHz and updated AI enhancements, and are available with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. Battery capacities differ slightly, with the Find X8s housing a 5,700mAh silicon-carbon battery and the Find X8s+ equipped with a 6,000mAh unit. Charging capabilities remain identical across both devices, supporting 80W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging.
Imaging-wise, the Find X8s pairs its 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 50MP ultrawide camera with a 120° field of view, and an 85mm-equivalent 50MP telephoto lens with dual-axis OIS. Meanwhile, the Find X8s+ swaps in a 73mm-equivalent 50MP telephoto lens while retaining the main and ultrawide sensors. Like the Ultra, both phones also offer a 32MP selfie camera on their respective displays.
The OPPO Find X8 Ultra is priced CNY6,499 (~RM3,950) for the base 12GB + 256GB model, CNY 6,999 (~RM4,251) for the 16GB + 512GB model, and CNY7,999 (~RM4,859) for the 16GB + 1TB model. On the other hand, the new Find X8s models start at CNY4,199 (~RM2,550) for the 12GB + 256GB trim, and top out at CNY5,499 (~RM3,340) for the 16GB and 1TB version. For now, it is unclear whether the company plans to release all three newer Find X8 models outside of China.
